先日、『ギヴ・アップ』10周年記念盤のリリースを発表し、ライヴ活動を再開させ、スペインのフェス「primavera sound 2013」に出演することも決まったザ・ポスタル・サーヴィスだが、『ギヴ・アップ』10周年記念盤が日本発売されることが決定した。

10周年記念盤は、唯一の作品である『ギヴ・アップ』に、未発表曲2曲の他、リミックス、ライヴ・トラック、またThe ShinsやIron and Wineによるカバーなど全15曲を収録したボーナス・ディスクを加えた2枚組としてリリースされる。日本では3月27日に発売を予定している。

ちなみに、トータルセールス100万枚を記録した『ギヴ・アップ』は、25年に亙るSUB POPの長い歴史において、ニルヴァーナの『ブリーチ』に続くレーベル史上2番目に売れた作品となっている。
