イエスのベーシスト、クリス・スクワイアが他界した。バンドのオフィシャル・フェイスブックを通じて明らかにされたものだが、現時点で死因などの詳細については公表されていない。享年67だった。

クリスは結成以来バンドに在籍してきた唯一のオリジナル・メンバーとして活動を続けており、昨年11月にワールド・ツアーの一環で来日も果たしたばかりだが、今年5月に急性リンパ芽球性白血病を患っていることを告白。治療に専念するため、今夏予定されていたトトとの北米ツアーを離脱すると発表していた。
